WOC 2024 is happy to announce that we have now completed our course setting team, ahead of the final months of preparing the courses which will determine the 2024 World Orienteering Champions in Edinburgh this July.

Frank Townley and Joe Hudd of Edinburgh University both set courses for the highly successful World Ranking Events at the “Big Weekend” races in Edinburgh in January 2024.  We are delighted that both have agreed to join the WOC 2024 planning team. Frank is a course setter for the Sprint qualification and final, alongside existing team member Ross McLennan. Meanwhile, Joe is joining Jon Cross to design the Knock-out Sprint qualification and final races.

We are delighted that former GB athlete Helen Bridle is a third new member of the team. Helen is working with Graeme Ackland on the Sprint Relay courses, and is also responsible for the courses for the WOC Tour races in the same location later the same day.
